Ganesh Visarjan Changes Eid E Milad Procession Date In Maharashtra Aimim Raises Demand

Ganesh Visarjan Changes Eid-e-Milad Procession Date in Maharashtra; AIMIM Raises Demand

Processions Postponed Due to Ganesh Visarjan in Mumbai

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has revised the date of the Eid-e-Milad procession in Mumbai due to the ongoing Ganesh Visarjan festival. The procession, which was earlier scheduled for August 31, has been rescheduled to September 8.

AIMIM Demands Alternative Route

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has demanded that the BMC provide an alternative route for the Eid-e-Milad procession. The party has argued that the revised date clashes with the Ganesh Visarjan festival, which could lead to traffic congestion and security concerns.

Civic Authorities Assure Cooperation

The BMC has assured the AIMIM that it will make necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of both the Ganesh Visarjan festival and the Eid-e-Milad procession. The civic authorities have also appealed to the public to cooperate with the police and traffic authorities.

Religious Harmony Prevails

Despite the change in date, religious harmony prevails in Mumbai. The Ganesh Visarjan festival and the Eid-e-Milad procession are both important events for the city's diverse communities. The BMC's decision to revise the date of the procession has been welcomed by both Hindu and Muslim leaders.
